I really need to get Photoshop on my laptop, since these days I spend most of my time on it and not my desktop. I think I've used it once in the last two weeks at least, and that is an all-time record. Problem is, it means that I haven't done anything with all my photos lately, since I'm plagued by laziness. Today seems like a good day to stay in though, so maybe, just maybe, I'll tackle them. I make no promises though!
Not raining here in Dublin right now, at least not that I can tell. The ground is wet though. We had a good Halloween, although I don't think turnout was quite as high as it has been in past years. But we did go through nearly 400 pieces of candy (we give out two or three per trick-or-treater).
I think some kids are afraid to come up to our house, hehe. We have this mummy head on our door that's motion sensitive, and it talks whenever someone comes up to the door. Sometimes I'd hear it go off, but the doorbell would never ring. I put a fake tarantula next to the doorbell, so a lot of times I'll hear kids saying, "You ring it" "No you ring it!" But yeah, I'd hear the door mummy talking, and then open the door, and some kid would be back halfway down our walkway heading back to their parents. So Marc and I sometimes had to go out and hand out candy away from the porch.
We got lots of compliments on our decorations though, and quite a few people were taking pictures. The parents seemed to enjoy it, even if the kids didn't always. But there were also lots of kids that seemed to get a kick out of everything. And we only had one kid cry (when a spider came swinging down). I love Halloween, hehe.
So Marc is out getting an oil change on the Mustang, and I'm sitting here watching some football and enjoying an almond croissant. No Oregon-Cal game for me (I know, I'm a bad fan), but my brothers are going. I told them to make sure they brought rain suits, it's pouring in Berkeley right now. But we're going to get lunch from the Dog Out in San Ramon, which is pretty much the same as Top Dog in Berkeley, so it'll be a gameday kind of day here. I always get the kielbasa at Top Dog, but I sometimes wonder if I should branch out and try the bratwurst or some of the other sausages. I just love me some kielbasa.
Three more days until the election. I'm excited and apprehensive at the same time. I haven't talked much politics lately, mostly because I was kind of tired of the whole thing for a long time. I've always paid attention, but some stuff just makes me weary and cynical, and certain issues just make me dislike people very, very much. But still, the whole thing is interesting and exciting. Marc and I are thinking of going to Oakland to vote early this weekend, but we kind of like voting on Election Day, so I think we'll probably end up waiting.
Alright, time to get off my duff and go shower.
