Had a pretty nice weekend, full of birthday goodness for Marc. I'm actually on my own for a few days, as Marc is down in San Diego for some work stuff. It's just me and all the pets! Luckily I have Bandit, so it's a little less creepy being in the house by myself.
So Friday was the day I planned on giving Marc his surprise b-day present, which was a session of indoor skydiving at iFly in Union City. They basically have an enclosed chamber and they have these huge fans blowing air upward. Marc's been talking about checking it out for a while, so I thought I'd surprise him with it.
I told him that my brothers wanted to go see Quantum of Solace at the Union City movie theater, which is right next to iFly. We decided to have dinner down there as well, and ended up running a little behind. Marc suggested eating at In and Out since it was quick, which ended up being perfect because it's located right next to the iFly building.
We ended up finishing dinner with time to spare (for the movie), so I suggested we stop by iFly just to check it out. Marc pretty much didn't clue in until I walked up to the counter and told them I had a reservation. Kenny and Leslie joined us, and the three of them ended up doing the skydiving (I opted out - it's pretty expensive to do!).
They all had a lot of fun doing it, although I guess it's harder than it looks. Marc bought a DVD of their session - I'll have to see if I can get clips online.
Saturday my brothers came over in the afternoon to watch the Cal game (which was frustrating to watch). Then after the game my family and Steve and the kids came over to celebrate Marc's birthday. I picked up a big strawberry cream cake from Prolific Oven on Friday, and it kinda/sorta kept okay until Saturday. Some of the liquid, either from the fruit or the filling or something in the cake kind of seeped out and got the bottom layer soggy. It was still pretty yummy though.
My brothers and my cousin Henry stayed a bit later and the five of us played a couple of games - Seinfeld Scene It! and The Office DVD game.
Sunday we slept in a bit, and just hung out and watched football until I had to drive Marc to the airport in the afternoon. Jan came over in the evening to have dinner, and I showed her how to set up her new iPod. I spent the rest of the evening playing Gears of War 2, one of Marc's b-day presents. :)

That is an awesome b'day gift Bonz!
