I know I've been neglecting to blog, even moreso than usual. To be honest, the last couple of weeks have been, well, downright shitty, and I just haven't been in the mood to write. On the bright side of things, after tomorrow I'll officially be on vacation for two weeks. We have no plans to go anywhere, except maybe to ski. One of my goals is to work on the fish tank, which has been neglected even worse than my blogging.
We did manage to get our Christmas cards done, so those went in the mail. And we got some of our Christmas shopping done, which is way ahead of schedule for us. I'm sure we'll still find ourselves at the mall on the 23rd.
We got our momma cat spayed this week, so she'll be going up for adoption this weekend. I'm doubtful that she'll get adopted before the end of the year, but who knows. The kitten seems to be doing well in her new home though.
My brothers bought tickets to the Emerald Bowl (on the 27th) so we'll be going to that. It's going to be a busy weekend for us since we also have a herding trial that day and the next. So we'll be driving out to Pescadero, up to SF, back home, then back out to Pescadero the next day. Let's call it Bandit's Christmas present.
We did manage to decorate our tree - although there was a mishap where Marc forgot to check on the tree's water supply, and we found it completely dry. We have no idea how many days it was like that, but as of now it's not taking up any of the new water we put in there. Oops. We're just hoping it'll last for two more weeks.
I'll try to blog over the holidays, but in case I don't, I hope everyone has a good holiday and hopefully we can see some of you in the next couple of weeks.
Oops. We haven't checked the water in our tree either. Actually... I don't even remember putting water IN it once we set it up.... This could be bad!

We just tried drilling some holes in the trunk to see if we could get past the air gap - no luck so far, it's still just sitting in water. And the tree is starting to turn brown! :(
