Bear and Flowers, Take Two

When I called Tuesday, the CS guy I spoke with called the florist and told me that he "reminded" them to deliver them, and they'd be there by the end of the day. Didn't happen. So I called Wednesday morning, and asked to speak with a manager/supervisor. The lady said, "Well, I can help you. Let me give the florist a call." I was like, fine, I'll humor you and let you try this.

She came back and said that the florist told her that their printer had been broken and that they'd been unable to print their orders, and that the delivery would be done the next day. Which was total BS. I told her as much, and said that I felt the florist was jerking them around, but said fine, but that if it wasn't delivered, I would want to speak to a manager and have the florist changed.

I hung up and 15 minutes later decided to screw it and not mess around with it anymore. They'd had ample chances. So I called again, repeated my rant to a different CS person, and demanded that they either let me speak with a manager or change the florist (I always feel bad for the CS person who gets the customer on the 4th or 5th phone call, because by then the customer is pissed, and it wasn't their fault). He quickly changed the florist for me with no hassle.

So the new florist delivered the flowers today. Cynthia took a picture of the bear, which is much better than the last one. It's not the exact same as the picture, and still lacks the medical accessories, but it's a considerable improvement. And she said it came with better chocolates, so I guess that makes up for it.

Of course, by now Cynthia probably feels fine and these are moot.

Man, who knew ordering flowers could be such an ordeal? I'll definitely pay more attention now as to what actually gets delivered.
