Our friend Cynthia had to have her appendix taken out last week, and was subsequently house-bound for two weeks, so to cheer her up we had a basket of flowers delivered to her. Now, the arrangement we chose also came with a stuffed teddy bear that had these cute little medical accessories.
It looked like this:

Cute, right?
So the flowers got delivered on time, but as Cynthia and I were chatting about it, I came to the realization that something was wrong. First, she said she couldn't tell at first if it was a mouse or a bear. Then when I asked if it came with the doctor's stuff, her response was, "what doctor's stuff?" Also, the mouse/bear she got was only about 4" tall, and the description for the one we'd ordered stated it was 12" tall.
So Cynthia sent me a picture of what she actually got.

It's not even close!
Marc and I are trying to get them to redeliver with the correct bear, but it's been a bit of a pain so far. I think the local florist is dragging their feet on it.
Didn't do much fun stuff last night, mostly finishing up more fish tank chores. We stopped by the fish store after work and picked up a single chromis fish (they're cheap) to put in the new 34g tank to help cycle it. They had about 5 in the tank in the store, and all but 1 looked a bit iffy. I tried to get the guy to catch the one that looked good, but trying to separate 1 fish from 4 or 5 others isn't easy. He kept catching the ones I didn't want, and then finally caught one that I thought looked good. Mostly to stop the madness, I said it was fine. Which of course it wasn't really, as it looked like it had been beaten up a bit by another fish. However, as he was bagging up the fish, I looked back in the tank and spotted the fish I had wanted. It was at the bottom, lying upside down, looking very dead. Guess it was good I didn't get that one after all.

i still laugh every time i look at the poor mouse bear. it really did cheer me up. =)
Ha! Love the mouse-bear. But yeah, when I used to blog, I wrote a blog about the flowers William had sent me for work. They were really pretty, but they weren't the more expensive roses that he had actually ordered! The worst part was that they didn't even offer to refund him the difference! It was such a pain! I think they offered him 20% off his next purchase! (And I think that is the end of my explanation point post)
