I'm trying to get back in the habit of blogging daily, or semi-daily, even when I don't have anything interesting to say. This could be interpreted as a Good Thing or a Bad Thing. This is certainly not a promise, however, as we've seen how good I am at sticking to goals.
I was expecting a delivery Saturday morning of a fish, snails and starfish for the tank, but found out late Friday night that all my items had been backordered. I'd ordered from Petco (which could turn out to be a big mistake, we'll see), so I called them early Saturday to find out if my order was indeed not going to be arriving that day, and if so, why. The explanation given to me was that there was bad weather whereever it was shipping from, so it was being delayed. At this point I don't know when it's going to be shipped.
I did, however, go to the fish store and found another fish I'd been looking for, a male blue jaw triggerfish (photo below borrowed from themarinecenter.com).

It's only about 3-3.5", which is perfect. Very cute little guy. It's not the fanciest fish, but supposedly they have great personalities, and they're well-behaved in a reef. The two tangs have been bullying it a bit, but hopefully that'll subside soon.
I also had someone come buy to purchase one of my extra anemone clones, and it turned out to be someone who used to work at my company, and was in fact the boss of my former boss at the time. Small world.
Saturday we also went out to celebrate my aunt's birthday, and my parents, brothers, and cousin Henry came up to watch Valkyrie with us. It wasn't a film I was all that interested in seeing, but it wasn't bad. It felt a little long (was 2 hours), but I thought it was interesting for the most part. Although one lady sitting behind us was asleep for at least the last hour.
We didn't go out Sunday. Mostly just stayed in and watched football and did some work around the house. We got all of our holiday decorations stored up in the new garage racks - the Christmas and Halloween stuff took up an entire rack. We still have a ton of stuff to move and get stored away, but it's probably going to take a whole weekend to do it.
And that's about it. Time to go heat up my lunch now.
