Had a pretty nice Valentine's weekend. Marc and I didn't do anything too fancy. Friday after work we stopped by the Hallmark store and both (separately) ended up picking up two cards for the other person because neither of us could settle on just one.
I was busy most of Friday evening doing water changes on the tanks (starting to feel like we run a fish store now, rolling big Brute cans of water all over the house) and getting my stuff ready for Saturday's frag swap.
I went to bed pretty late Friday and had to get up at 7:30 am to get all the corals packed up and left at around 9:30 to head to the swap at Chabot College. It was a long morning/early afternoon, but I had fun. Got a few nice corals and also won a couple of very nice things in the raffle. It's always fun to win things!
Got home around 3-ish, and just hung out for a bit while I waited for everything to acclimate. Marc was busy entering all sorts of stuff into MS Money - I have no clue what, but he was upstairs for hours. After I got all my new corals into the tank I ended up taking a short nap and generally just bummed around until we left for dinner at 8. Marc had bought a dozen Godiva chocolate-covered strawberries for me, so I ate a couple of those to tide me over until dinner!
We didn't do anything fancy for dinner, just went to the sushi place across the street. After dinner we went home and watched Forgetting Sarah Marshall on DVD. It was different from what I'd expected, humor-wise, but it was pretty funny, and I enjoyed it.
Sunday we really didn't do much of anything. We did adopt out one of our foster cats, Sadie, so now we're down to one foster again. Pepper turned out to have fleas (I HATE fleas), so I got some Advantage on her and we gave her a bath. Flea treatments like Advantage and Frontline are the greatest invention ever - I remember the days of flea baths and flea collars and how none of them really worked all that well. So Pepper will be going to Petsmart tonight. She's a really sweet cat. Last night we let her wander around the house and she was rubbing her head against Bandit's (all of our foster cats just love him). Very cute.
Loving all the rain so far, since we need it so badly.
