Weird Dream

| | Comments (3)

I always have lots of weird dreams - I used to think it was a normal thing, but Marc says he has mostly mundane dreams, so maybe I'm odd. Or maybe he is? I happened to remember my dream from last night in pretty good detail, so I thought I'd share.

It started out with me getting ready for work. I was getting dressed, and I had a drawer full of t-shirts and matching hoodies. I ended up picking out this varsity-style hoodie that had writing on the back, like where you'd see a person's name on a jersey, but instead of my name, it said, "Vicki's Great!" (it's my dream shout-out to Vicki, I guess). I was like, well, I should wear this since my friends were so nice to get this for me. Nevermind that it was a godawful looking hoodie.

Next thing I know, I'm at work playing street hockey with coworkers in the hallway. Our "puck" was a nickel. And the goal was the opposing team's office door. I was out in front with the nickel, and almost got to the goal when I got knocked away by the opposing team, and when the rest of my team showed up, none of them had their hockey sticks. I kept thinking, what the hell did they do with their sticks? How did they all manage to lose them? So I had to quickly scramble to get back up and just barely managed to poke the nickel through the door to score.

To celebrate our win, we went out for burritos for lunch. That's where the dream got really weird, because we all ported into these garages with cars in them, and everyone who went there got taken into these cars with these blob-like monsters in them that were eating/converting all the people. The people who got rice in their burritos went first. My coworkers were able to rescue one of our people, but we just watched the monsters trap all the other people in the car. It was horrific. The people were just oozing and melting and turning into more monsters, and finally the car drove off as the roof of it was collapsing.

I was wondering why everyone was just standing around when the garage was open, and not running, so I decided to leave, and I ended up hiding in a normal looking garage next door. Then this really tall woman walked by with these big garbage bags, and at first I thought she didn't see me, but then she turned around and started heading towards me. That's when I heard Marc's voice and I woke up.

I don't know if anyone likes to interpret dreams, but feel free to have a crack at that one. ;) I don't necessarily consider it a nightmare, mostly because it's nothing like the nightmares I used to have as a kid, where I'd wake up screaming and crying (and those weren't night terrors either, because I used to have those too, and those I would never even remember). Those nightmares were even stranger.

Anyways, I stayed home from work again yesterday, because I felt lousy when I woke up. I just couldn't stop coughing. I spent most of the day sleeping, drinking soup, watching TV, listening to the leak of the new Kelly Clarkson album, and surfing the internets. Cynthia bought me this game called "Lips" as an early birthday present - it's this cool karaoke game, but I haven't been able to play it at all since I've been pretty much sick since I got it. :(

Oh, and I had forgotten to mention our little "adventure" when we went skiing - we were trying out all these different blue runs, and decided to go on one called "Tuck's Traverse." It turned out to be a horrible choice. It shouldn't have been labeled blue for difficulty, but rather black for annoyance, because 3/4 of this trail was literally on an uphill slope. It felt like we were cross-country skiing, but without cross-country skis. Worst. Trail. Ever. So those going to Bear Valley, beware "Tuck's Traverse!" It's terrible, and it will suck an hour out of your day!

Haha...thanks for the shout-out =) I'm at home sick today too! Nonstop sneezing/coughing is not too fun =( Hope you feel better soon!

Ugh, sorry to hear you're sick too! Guess it's going around. But really, I don't know why my hoodie had your name on it. Not like that was the weirdest part of the dream though.

maybe you dreamed about vicki cuz you both have a connection now (both of you being sick).
