It's Friday!

Well, it's my Friday, at least, because I have tomorrow off, woohoo! We're also having a site party this afternoon, so I can probably leave early too (although I've got a service engineer coming out, so I may end up having to stick around). My boss is leaving in a little over a week, and I'm already starting to get pretty busy. I'll probably be maintaining two offices in two different buildings, which should be fun.

But on the bright side, "Lost" was new last night! Hurray! I'm kind of loving this foray into Dharmaville. Loved Hurley's, "Dude, your English is awesome." The talk between Jack and Sawyer/LaFleur/James seemed a bit oddly strained. I guess they've butted heads more often than they've been buds, but I was a bit surprised by it. I never understand why these people can't just sit down and talk it out!

Poor, poor Juliet. I have a feeling things are gonna get bumpy for her soon. It'll be interesting to see how she deals with it all. The reunion between her and Jack was sweet though. I realized at that point that while I like Juliet and Sawyer together, I like her and Jack together too, and really, I think it comes down to me liking Juliet with anyone much better than Kate with anyone. Which just means that Juliet >> Kate. Which probably means that they'll end up letting Kate live, and Juliet will die.

The time travel stuff is definitely trippy - I guess young Ben has met our Losties before in his youth, so when he met them as adults, he already knew them. Casts a whole new light on how he's manipulated everyone so far (and maybe explains his obsession with Juliet). I'm curious to know if Daniel is right and that the past is unalterable and that "what happened, happened."

I think I'm going to make a conscious attempt to try to avoid lots of spoilers for the rest of the year. I'm not promising to, since it's so hard for me to not peek knowing that it's out there. I can't help myself!

We watched "AI" on DVR after, and mostly fast-forwarded through to the end. Carrie Underwood was on this week to perform, and we watched about half of it before Marc started fast forwarding again. She's a good singer, but damn, she has the personality of toast. Anyways, I guess Alexis got voted off, and the judges thought about saving her but ended up electing not to. Seriously though, they make you sing the same damn song that got you voted off, then they're like, "we're going to base our decision on this performance you're giving - right after you were told that America likes you the least," and then the judges huddle and talk and cast conspiratorial glances at the contestant while they sing. So you can't be surprised when they totally suck.

Bandit also had agility last night, so my evening was pretty full. The regal angel is still doing well - he eats like a pig, and really isn't shy about getting in the scrum with the rest of them when it comes to feeding time. I love the little guy's personality too.

Alright, time to get back to work!
