I'm flying to Seattle tonight, right after work, for a two-day conference. Which means I'll be there on a Saturday. Sucks. But I've never been to Seattle before, so I guess that will be kind of cool, and Roche is actually paying to let me travel even though I'll be persona non grata to them before this year is over.
Marc packed me some Girl Scout cookies for my trip, but only seven Samoas, which is so not going to be enough. I meant to grab a few more before we left the house but sadly forgot. Woe.
It didn't take me too long to pack last night, though I still managed to overpack for a two-night stay. I almost forgot my socks. I packed while watching "AI," generally pausing to see who was getting kicked off, and to watch Kanye and Kelly perform.
The regal angel is so far doing pretty well. There was a day where I was a bit concerned, because after I added him to the main tank, he got ich (of course). Then the following day he was looking raggedy, like he was shedding an outer layer of skin or something, but I think it was a slime coat he was shedding. It all disappeared a day later, and he's been fine since. This regal doesn't seem to be intimidated by the other fish either, like they usually seem to be. He happily eats amongst all the other fish, and it's usually a frenzy when there's food. And he's so personable - whenever he sees me looking at the tank, he swims right over to me. The other day I was working on the tank from above, and he was at the bottom - saw me, and swam straight up towards me. So cute. None of the other fish do that - although Norman, the blonde naso, always has to get in the picture when I have the camera up.
So I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this guy - the big thing is that he eats like a pig.
I think that's it for now - I'm sure I'll have plenty of time to blog while I'm sitting around in my hotel room. :)
