Bandit didn't have agility class last night, so Marc and I went to the store and got stuff to grill burgers for dinner. We lounged around, watched Obama's press conference on the DVR, and then caught up on Monday's episode of "House." Yeah, we kinda watch too much TV.

Trying to type here this morning, but it is freezing! There's no thermostat in this other office, and the sun isn't shining in here anymore, so I'm sitting here blowing on my hands trying to keep warm.

This is one of the kittens in the litter of 6 we're temp fostering until Friday. They're so cute! One is definitely bigger than the others, weighing in at 0.18 kg, while one is lagging behind a bit at 0.13 kg. I think there's 4 boys and 2 girls - the orange and buff ones are all boys, as is common. I wish we could foster these guys permanently!
Haha, well, more crazy less sexy. More on that later. Marc and I stopped off at the animal shelter after work on Friday to pick up a mom cat and her litter of 6 newborns. We're not fostering them permanently, just for a week until their permanent foster returns from vacation. Mom is a sweet, petite calico, and the babies are a nice mix - two orange tabbies, one buff tabby, one calico, and two greys. At least that's what I can tell so far. They still had their umbilical cords attached when we picked them up.
I'm almost done with my work day - there's supposed to be a site-wide party at 3, but I'm probably going to ditch it as none of my coworkers are in, and I'd much rather just leave early anyways.
I've been remiss in blogging this week, so here's my attempt at catching up. Shouldn't be too bad, really.
Watched "The Office" last night - it was an okay ep, a couple chuckles here and there, but the best part was probably the cold open with the cheese balls. That was awesome. And speaking of cheese balls, do they still sell those? Because I can't remember the last time I saw them at the store. It's like Sara Lee chocolate swirl pound cake (whose absence I will probably lament until the day I die).
It's funny, I was actually thinking of this title for today's entry during the day yesterday (yeah, I sometimes blog in my head), and it happened to be a line spoken in "Lost" last night. Spooky!
We had a pretty nice weekend - the weather was great, which always helps. Marc and I had sushi for dinner Friday night, and then we stayed in and watched The Incredible Hulk on blu-ray. The Ed Norton version (Marc hated the Ang Lee one). It had decent action and CGI, but I remember the trailer from way back, and it really did pretty much give away the whole movie, which was kind of lame. Ang Lee tried to make the thinking man's "Hulk" and this one pretty much tried to be the opposite. It was entertaining nonetheless.
Got in to work super early today, because Marc needed to. Right now I'm sitting in my new, second office, which is my boss' old office, which is significantly smaller than my other office. I'm keeping two offices now, mostly because I have to spend time in two different buildings, and this way I don't have to just hang out in the lab during downtime. The walls here seem thinner than my other office, because I can totally hear the person next door talking on the phone. I don't think she's doing work related stuff. But then, neither am I at this moment.
Got in to work early this morning, as I had some things to take care of, and now I'm at my desk with nothing to do at the moment, so I'm gonna blog. Work has actually been a little slow this week, surprisingly. It's a little boring right now.
We had a pretty nice weekend - did some stuff but mostly it was relaxing. I managed to sneak out of work early-ish on Friday (would've been even earlier had my "client" not been two and a half hours late). It was Marc's Friday off, but he was having a work bowling thing, so he ended up getting home only a little earlier than I.
I wish I had more to blog about today, because it would make our lives seem less sad, but mostly it's going to be TV talk. I did take Bandit to his agility class after work. Poor guy hurt himself, but in that classically hilarious Bandit way.
Just when I was starting to have a little faith in "American Idol," last night happened. I mean, it wasn't completely awful, but it certainly didn't make me feel like this season might turn out better than the last few.
