Got in to work early this morning, as I had some things to take care of, and now I'm at my desk with nothing to do at the moment, so I'm gonna blog. Work has actually been a little slow this week, surprisingly. It's a little boring right now.
So Monday night, Marc and I actually kind of cooked dinner, mostly because I'm getting a little tired of eating crap all the time (naturally, last night we went to In 'n Out). I say kind of, because we bought a rotisserie chicken, but we cooked the veggies and stuff to go with it.
We watched "Heroes," which was actually not that bad. We're usually only half paying attention these days, but I found myself watching most of it, and it was pretty entertaining. It's still mostly shite, but it's improving. I think they've toned down the Parkman-face, so that's probably the major improvement.
Yesterday morning we got up extra early for a phone consult with our genetic counselor - they're located on the East Coast, so it was easier for us to do it before we had to leave for work. She mostly went over what they did, and how their test would work, and it sounds like the accuracy rate should be >98%, which is reassuring. I have to admit I find the scientific parts of this fascinating, mostly because I've worked with some of this technology, and it's kind of cool to see it apply to a real-world situation that's personal to me. My emphasis in my major in college was genetics too, so it obviously interests me.
Anyways, after work I did an overdue water change on both the fish tanks while Marc did some work from home. "AI" was pretty much the only thing on TV that night (well, "SVU" was on too, and we usually watch that when it's on). In the beginning, I was just dying. Crap, crap, crap. And I started feeling like I hate this show. Anoop was pretty good this week though. Lil Rounds has to be in the bottom three this week - she's been bad for weeks now, and last night was fairly awful. I thought she sounded flat the whole song, although the judges still praised her vocals, mostly panning her song choice and performance instead.
But the end was mostly saved by Allison, Matt and Adam, who all did really well with their performances - both vocally and with song choice. So hurray, the evening wasn't a total waste. I'm predicting Scott, Danny and Lil to end up in the bottom three, but that's more who I think it should be - you never know how people are actually going to vote.
Well, I spoke too soon about having nothing to do - but I'm done here anyways! New "Lost" tonight, so I'm stoked. I don't think we'll see any Dharmaville tonight, but it's Ben and Locke and Smokey, and that has to guarantee awesomeness.
