Weekend 'n Stuff

My cousin Derek and his wife Katherine were in town this weekend, so the plan for Saturday was to have dinner with them (and the rest of my family). We'd initially planned to have everyone come over to our place. Marc and I got up in the morning and started to clean the house. We'd been working for almost 3 hours when we got a call from my mom, to let us know that the plans had changed and that dinner was going to be at her house. Apparently she'd called my cell phone early in the morning, but since I was sleeping at the time, and we leave our cell phones downstairs, we didn't get the call.

Anyways, so annoyingly typical of my family. Our plans always change at the last minute. Grr.

So after lunch we went and did some shopping at Costco. Bought some dessert to bring with us to dinner, and then headed down to Fremont. Bandit came with us too. Had a good time eating lots of barbecue and chit chatting. We got home pretty late - I think it was almost midnight.

I'm having trouble remembering what we did during the day Sunday. I may have napped. In the evening we went over to Jan's house to have dinner with her and a couple of her friends. We also brought Bandit and had barbecue, so it was kind of a repeat of the night before, now that I think about it.

Marc and I went and saw State of Play, which was pretty good. It was a nicely done thriller.

Yesterday morning I went in for a sonogram to get my antral follicle count, and I finally got my official IVF calendar. All my medications are being shipped, and should arrive tomorrow. Next Tuesday is my next sonogram, and should also be the day I start the Lupron injections. I really need to stop thinking about the needles, because I think I'm starting to psych myself out.

No new "Lost" tonight (just a recap show). Sad.
