Blogging tonight, as I'll likely be too busy tomorrow to get a chance to. Plus, it keeps me from having to watch "Impact," which is what Marc has on the TV right now, and it's terrible and I don't think I could take much more of it. Had a crazy busy weekend, which has left me exhausted!
We woke up at 7 am on Saturday so that we could be out the door by 8:30 to drive down to Monterey for my high school friend Karen's wedding. The locale was really nice - the ceremony was held on a balcony right by the ocean. Had a nice reception afterwards. Around 3:30, as the reception was winding down, a bunch of us - my friends and their significant others - got changed and drove to Santa Cruz. We were heading for the Beach Boardwalk, and traffic was unexpectedly terrible. It took us two hours to get there.
Everyone and their mother was there - we hung out and played a few games like laser tag before Marc and I had to leave to go to my parents' house. It was about 7:30 and the sun was still up, so we were able to get out of the parking lot without encountering too much traffic, but it still took us an hour just to get out of Santa Cruz. We gave my friend Ramona a ride to the Fremont BART station, so we didn't get to my parents' until 9:30. A bunch of my relatives were in town for my grandmother's birthday. We hung out there for a couple hours before finally heading home.
I probably could've slept in until noon today if I'd wanted to, but we were meeting my family in Milpitas for lunch to celebrate my grandmother's 91st birthday. Had a pretty nice meal (pricey too, I think it came out to be $40 a person). We then all went back to my Aunt Judy's house to have cake, and chatted and played cards with my cousins for a while.
Got back home in the evening and we've just been vegging and unwinding for the rest of the night. Looking forward to a good night's sleep!
Addendum by request: Deepali scored the highest score in laser tag (and we played against a bunch of other people too). 3875 or something, which was ridiculous. I scored pretty high, but I only got 2100 something. Hilariously, poor Vicki and Cynthia scored fairly low (Vicki only got 75), because both had their guns pointed the wrong way! I'm not sure how either of them thought it was normal to be pressing the triggers with their thumbs, but suffice it to say, they were lucky we weren't playing with real guns!

Ahem. You didn't mention my super laser tag score. ;)
LOL - added the mention above! How could I have forgotten!
Ahem. You could've mentioned *only* Deepali's score and kindly left mine out =P Or also mention that I did come in 2nd for the sharpshooting game... so if I *had* pointed my gun in the right direction I might've won! ;)
Ahem. You also could have mentioned that after I did realize that my gun was the wrong way (there was about 1/4 of the game left), I scored 1600 points...so i should have quadrupled that number if I was holding it right the whole time!
Hee! Thanks Bonz! :)
