Had a nice, busy weekend, and ended up being fairly busy at work yesterday, which is why this update is late.
We came home Friday evening to find one of the containers that had been full of chocolate chip cookies sitting empty on the kitchen floor. Bandit was standing nearby, with his head held low, looking up at us in the most guilty way possible. He'd cleaned us out of two dozen cookies. It turned out to be my fault, in a way, as I'd left the lid open when I'd gone to grab a couple in the morning. That's just too much to resist for a dog.
We met up with Cynthia and Steve, Vicki and Kelly, and Deepali for brunch on Saturday morning. Afterwards, we went back to our house to watch He's Just Not That Into You. It was alright - it had funny moments, but there were times towards the middle of the film that were kind of uncomfortable and depressing. Decent rental otherwise.
We then spent I don't know how long playing Punch Out on the Wii. It was tiring, so we all took turns playing through the career mode. Got pretty far too. Then we went to Zachary's for dinner - gotta love that deep dish pizza.
Cynthia and Steve wanted to see Up, so we decided to go see it again. I think I loved it even more the second time around. I did cry again, pathetically. It's just a lovely, funny movie though. I did, however, realize that we've spent over 60 dollars on this movie, which is insane.
Sunday morning we drove down to Milpitas to meet up with my family for dim sum. It was good, although we way over-ordered food. I took a nap in the afternoon, and then Steve and Erin and the kids came over for dinner. We kept it simple - just grilled up some burgers.
Allison fell in love with our foster kittens. She helped me give them their dinner, and then she wanted to stay in the room with them while they ate. When I went to check on them later that evening, I hilariously found their food and water dishes sitting in their litter box. The kittens must have been so confused.
The little guys got picked up last night, and I was sad to see them go. Kind of nice to be back down to three animals again though.
