Just got through a bunch of pictures tonight, so I'm finally able to post Part 2 of our weekend. My fingers are about ready to fall off!
So we landed in Oakland at 7:35 pm, got in our car, changed shirts, and then drove over to Mountain View for the No Doubt concert.
The concert was awesome. We got in with just a little time to spare before they went on stage (we missed both opening acts). I saw them at Shoreline back in 1996 when they were touring for Tragic Kingdom, and they were great. I think they were even better this time around. Gwen was ridiculous as usual, running all over the entire time, and even doing pushups on stage. Hard to believe she's 40 and just had a baby not that long ago.

There was one cool part where she spotted some Australian fans in the audience (they had a big flag with them) that had come to see the show, and she invited the three of them to come on stage to give her a hug. Then she took their camera and posed with them and took a picture.
All the rest of the photos are up on Flickr.
When it was over, we trudged back to the car, and we had to go a looong way because we'd arrived so late. We got home a little after midnight, and we were just pooped. We showered, I went online for a little, and then we both passed out.
Sunday morning we got up at 8 to get ready to go up to Sonoma for the NHRA drag races. Our neighbors had gotten us tickets, so we rode up with them in their minivan. The races were cool - they had all different classes of cars and bikes racing. It was LOUD too. We had to wear earplugs at some points, just because some of the dragsters were unbelievably loud. You could actually feel your chest vibrating when they took off.

We spent most of the day there - it was hot, and we were sitting in the sun, which was pretty tiring. We walked around a bit to check out all the trailers and displays. I even took a moment to hop on a Harley - probably the closest Marc will ever let me get to riding a motorcycle!

We got back home in the late afternoon, totally exhausted. I've got more pictures from the races, but I haven't gone through them yet. I'm still trying to catch up on all the Comic Con news that I missed!
