Had my egg retrieval yesterday. It was early in the morning - had to get to the clinic at 6:45 am, and my retrieval was scheduled for 7:30. Things went well, and they ended up retrieving 13 eggs. It's about half of what they got last time, so kind of disappointing, but not entirely unexpected.
They called this morning with the fertilization report - 11 of the eggs were mature, and out of those, 8 of them fertilized. Last time, we had 17 fertilize, and 13 made it to the Day 3 biopsy. So the odds are kind of rough. I think at this point we'll consider ourselves lucky if we have one good one to transfer on day 5. The hope is that even though we have fewer embryos this time, that the quality will be better.
So we're keeping our fingers crossed. The next update we get will be on Friday, when they let us know how the biopsy and everything went. So if everyone can think good embryo thoughts in the meantime, we'd certainly appreciate it!

Sending all good thoughts both of your ways, and everything is crossed.
