We got some decent news after my sonogram on Saturday - things looked better, and my doctor felt comfortable proceeding with the cycle. There were about 8 mature follicles, and I think they were hoping to see 8-10 in order to get enough eggs.
I went for another sono and more bloodwork on Sunday morning, and got the call to do my trigger shot that night. So my retrieval is set for early Tuesday morning - they're expecting to get 8-10 eggs, although that's what they told me last time, and we ended up with 17 that fertilized, so maybe, hopefully, we'll get a little more than expected.
We took it easy for most of the weekend. Friday night we rented Last Chance Harvey (I'm telling you, there was nothing to rent). It was a pleasant, innocuous movie. I couldn't even remember what we watched or what it was called - I had to call Marc just now and he didn't even remember. I finally remembered that Emma Thompson and Dustin Hoffman were in it, and then we were trying to remember the title, and Marc said, "It was something like, See You Later, Harry," which was close enough to spur my memory of the title.
Saturday we got to sleep in just a little bit before my appointment, and I ended up taking a nap in the afternoon. Marc went to mow the front lawn, and somehow managed to enlist the assistance of our neighbors' kids, who are 5 and 7. Apparently they were about to go to Target with their mom when they saw Marc and begged to be allowed to stay behind to help. I woke up from my nap and went outside and saw Bailey raking leaves in our front lawn.
My brothers came over that night and we all hung out and played Wii Sports Resort and got some frozen yogurt, which I normally am not a big fan of, but it was pretty good at this place (Blush). I also made chocolate chip cookies for Marc to take to the live fantasy football draft he was going to on Sunday.
While Marc was gone at his draft Sunday, I spent the afternoon giving the dog a bath and baking cupcakes. The cats had decided to hang out in the bathroom with me while I bathed Bandit. Snuggles was very cute - as everyone knows, she loves the dog, and while I was bathing him, she kept pacing around me, meowing, and every few minutes she'd get up and put her front paws on the edge of the tub, and peer inside, meowing at me and the dog. It was almost like she was worried about what I was doing to her poor Bandit. So cute.
I made chocolate cupcakes with vanilla icing this time. Took me two tries on the icing, as the first recipe, which I ad-libbed a little, didn't work out. The second recipe was perfect.
We had dinner at my aunt's house that afternoon, and it was nice to hang out with family for a bit.
And now it's back to another work week, but at least I have an excuse to take tomorrow off!
