TV Overload and the 7-Year Itch

| | Comments (3)

Now that the Fall TV season is fully upon us, we're finding our DVR a bit overloaded. Last night, we had "House," "Heroes," "How I Met Your Mother," and "Dancing with the Stars" all on at 8pm. Not to mention the football game that was still going on. We've just sorta started watching HIMYM and I'm only an occassional viewer of DWTS, so those two got the axe, as we can only record two shows at once. How long we continue to DVR "Heroes" remains to be seen - we haven't watched the premiere yet.

Tonight should be better. I don't think there's anything we'll be watching on Tuesdays until November, when "V" premieres. Wednesdays we'll be watching "Glee," and later, "Lost." Thursdays will be pretty packed too. There are a couple other new shows I want to check out too, and I'm not sure which nights they're airing. And on top of all this, I need to watch the final season of BSG!

A ex-coworker/friend sent a link to me to a funny list of Random Thoughts From People Our Age. I told Cynthia I thought #2 was very true, and she joked (I think) that it's because I'm self-absorbed (hey, I write a blog documenting my daily life - if that's not self-absorbed, I don't know what is). But yeah, so much truth in the list.

Finally downloaded all the photos from Seattle, and we took over 300 pictures. I'll try to pick a few and get them posted this week.

Today is our 7-year wedding anniversary! Kind of hard to believe that it's been that long. It's been great though - we've had our shares of ups and downs like everyone else, but I think I can safely say it's been mostly ups, and we're still having a lot of fun and laughs, even with all the stuff we've been through this last year.

So on that note, I'll share a funny anecdote that Marc didn't really want me to share, but didn't really expressly tell me not to, and so I will, because if nothing else I want to have it written down. The other night, we were lying in bed watching TV and getting ready to fall asleep. Some commercial came on with music, and I happened to turn around to look at Marc, who was lying on his side, facing me with his eyes closed. He was repeatedly scrunching his face, like he was blinking with his eyes closed.

Me: "What are you doing?"

Marc (opening his eyes): "Um, I'm eye dancing."

Me (laughing): "What the fuck is eye dancing??? I'm so blogging this."

Just to make things fair, I promised Marc that I'd blog about how when we're carpooling to work together in the morning, and I'm sleeping in the passenger seat, everytime the latest Kelly Clarkson song comes on the radio, I always snort (in the most classy, girlish way possible of course) and wake up a little. I don't think it's as funny as eye dancing, but it's slightly embarrassing, so fair's fair.

So, happy anniversary to us!

Happy anniversary!

And I LLOL (literally laughed out loud) when I was reading that list.

It's hilarious! I would list all my favorites, but there's so many.

Happy Anniversary to you both!!! :)
