I keep meaning to come and update this space, and I've certainly had the time, but I guess I just haven't had the motivation or energy or whatever. Work is still chugging along, surprisingly. I've been pretty busy lately, for some reason. They've pretty much asked if I want to stay until the end of March, which is totally fine with me. I don't know if it's official yet, but being a little in the dark about my release date has been kind of par for the course for the last year.
We're still in the throes of IVF. I haven't talked much about this cycle, although I guess there's not that much to talk about - right now we're just waiting until I go back for a blood test to see if I'm pregnant or not. We transferred two again, but still no blastocysts (the later stage of development expected on day 5), although one of them was apparently starting to turn into one at the time of transfer. So I'm thinking positive (mostly) and staying optimistic. We clearly still have some sort of quality issue (had 23 eggs retrieved, 16 fertilized, and out of the 4 (which is so not 50/50) that were unaffected, only 2 of them made it to the transfer day). But as they say, it only takes one.
After the transfer (which was on Sunday), I stayed home for two extra days and pretty much stayed on the la-z-boy or in bed. I'd bought the Andre Agassi book, and finished that in one day, and then watched lots of TV the next day. Just me and the pets hanging out. Marc was sweet enough to bring me home flowers one night when he came home.
Marc celebrated his birthday last week, and we went to the 49ers' game that night. It was freezing out there! We had fun though. The guy who was sitting behind me was kind of obnoxious in that he was getting WAY overexcited about the game, and at one point, he jumped up and started screaming, and I think he must have been pumping his elbows up and down because he totally clocked me on the top of my head with one of them. Luckily I had just put my hood up, so that helped to soften the blow a little. It did get him to calm down a little after though.
Not much else new - getting excited for the holidays, although I don't know yet what our Thanksgiving plans are. It'll be at someone's house, I'm sure, we just don't know where, and as is usually the case, we'll probably be told the night before, and then on the day of, we'll be told that it's changed.
Okay, will try to blog more often - at least weekly, haha.
