Our rug for the living room arrived yesterday - much to our surprise, as they'd told us they would call us to let us know when to expect delivery, and we never got a call. I came home from work yesterday and there it was, on the doorstep.
I just got word yesterday that they might ask me to stay at work past the end of March (should I so desire). Apparently there's a ton of work left to do, and the people who were originally slated to stay to do it have decided to leave.
I'm working on my last project at work this week - it's keeping me super busy. After this though, I'll be pretty much done with actual science-related work. Then it's clean, clean, clean.
The Patriots lose in the playoffs, Pete Carroll flees USC for Seattle, and now Simon Cowell has announced this year will be his last with "American Idol." Whew!
Ugh, so glad that it's finally the end of this work week. It's been nuts. I get a little bit of a break next week, as I'll be going to a conference in SF for three days. Should be a nice reprieve, as long as the conference isn't too boring.
Well I'm back at work this week, and it's been rough getting back into my normal schedule after having over two weeks off. We were busy, busy, busy during vacation, but overall it was nice. I've been in such a depressed funk that it really helped getting to spend a lot of time with family and friends.
