I had The. Absolute. Worst. Blood draw this morning. There's a new girl working in the lab now, and she did okay when I was there last time, but this time it was hell. I don't have easy veins, but my right arm is usually pretty reliable. I've had more blood draws than I can count, and that arm has rarely been a problem. She stuck me with the needle, and of course didn't get it. Then she started searching for the vein, moving the needle around and ohmigod it hurt so bad.
At one point she asked me if I was doing okay, and all I could get out was "yeah" in a hoarse whisper, when I really just wanted her to STOP. I don't usually complain about pain - just suck it up and get it over with. But I was near tears, people. She called over the other lady (the one who usually does my draws and is awesome), but even she couldn't get it.
So they decided to try my left arm. New girl still couldn't get it. She fished around a little more. The other lady came over and gave her some help and they were finally able to get it. Good thing, too, because I was about to lose my shit. Just freaking awful. I think I'm going to have a hellacious bruise on my right arm too, which will look awesome with my dress on Saturday.
I watched a little "American Idol" last night, but I'm not going to talk about it, because what's the point? It's all the same, and at this point I'm just waiting for this season to end and for Crystal's album to come out (not saying she's going to win, but I'm sure we'll see an album regardless).
"V" was good, although I still have issues with the dialogue on this show. I don't even care all that much about poor green screening, because even "LOST" has LOL-worthy CGI. It was cool to see Michael Trucco (from "BSG") in this ep, although it seems that we might not see him again. I don't know where they're going with the whole confusion about Tyler's parentage. Erica seems adamant that it's impossible that Joe isn't his father, but she never really came out and said that she wasn't sleeping with someone else at the time. Assuming she wasn't, and the tests were correct, what does that mean about Tyler?
I thought the plotline with the Live Aboard program and Chad digging up some ominous clues about it was getting interesting. It definitely had a sinister vibe to it.
I really liked "LOST." I was completely not expecting Ilana to die when she did (I knew it was going to happen, but didn't know when or how), and even though I'm annoyed they killed off another woman, I thought that scene was pretty awesome. I remember saying, "Is she just tossing those bottles of water in the bag? With the dynamite?" And then when she threw down the bag I was like, "Oh that's probably not a good...." BOOM! "...idea." Totally caught me by surprise.
And then Desmond! Down the well! And Desmond again! Running Locke over with his car! WTF! There were some crazy moments for sure. I really liked seeing Libby again though. I remember being slightly verklempt when she died (again, more women dying on this show). We still don't really know why she's in the loony bin (although I think the producers have said it was because her husband died and she went crazy), but it was really nice to see her with Hurley and for them to have the picnic they never got to have on the island.
I feel like I have an idea where everything is going, although I don't know if there's going to be some huge twist or surprise that'll turn everything on its head at the end. But if it's going where I think it's going, I think I'd be happy with it, although I can see how a lot of people won't be. Only 6 more hours left, I can't believe it!
Didn't get a chance to watch "Glee" last night. I'll watch that tonight.
