3 More Days!

| | Comments (0)

Just three more days until "LOST" finale day! I can't believe it's already here, and it's going to be over soon. :( I've managed to stay fairly spoiler-free for it, except for a few things that I just had to know. I have no clue how it's all going to end.

Things are still pretty busy at work, as I'm trying to get everything I need to get done before I run out of time. I still can't believe that in a little over a week, I'll be completely done here. It's a little sad, for sure. I can't say I'm not looking forward to the time off though!

On the IVF front, I was freaking out a little on Tuesday. I had my first appointment that morning, and my uterine lining was a little on the thin side (it needs to be a minimum thickness for them to do the embryo transfer). My left ovary was also still pretty huge, and the sonographer wasn't sure if that was going to be a bad thing or not, as it would depend on my bloodwork. So all morning I was freaking out that they were going to have to cancel this cycle.

I finally got the call from my nurse, who assured me that the ovary wasn't a problem at all, but that my body wasn't absorbing the oral estrogen well enough, so they were going to switch me over to an injectable form of estrogen (and, of course, I had just ordered a refill on the oral meds). It's just like the progesterone shots, so not very pleasant, but at least it's only once every three days. So I'm not completely out of the woods yet, but hopefully things will look better by my next appointment on Monday.

So Tuesday night was insane. We got tickets to the Sharks playoff game for that evening, so after work we went to pick up my dad, and met up with Cynthia and Steve, who also got tickets. The atmosphere at the Tank was rocking - the game, not so much. It was obscenely frustrating to watch. The Sharks played great for the first half of the first period, and then after that, it was like they were skating in mud. Terrible. The game ended with them losing 4-2, and dropping to 0-2 in the series, so they're going to really need to pick things up if they want to have a chance to make it to the finals.

We got home at around 11 - I managed to watch both "LOST" and "V" (Marc only made it through "LOST"). It wasn't easy! "LOST" was great, much better than last week's, which I didn't really care for. I have some thoughts on it, but I'll probably save them for tomorrow or something when I have more time. Or maybe I'll just wait until after the finale.

I enjoyed the "V" finale, and I'm glad it's coming back next season. Hopefully they'll make Tyler a little less annoying next year.
